The location of Noel @ Whitwell is absolutely fabulous, with its proximity to Rutland Water. The hotel itself is tastefully presented and creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The locally sourced food served for breakfast is absolutely delicious and a true highlight of our stay. We also had an evening meal that exceeded our expectations in terms of taste and value. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit.
Although there were a few drawbacks mentioned in the database reviews such as small rooms, thin walls, and a complicated coffee maker, we didn't experience any of these issues during our stay. In fact, the shower in our room was easily controlled and provided a consistently good temperature.

We had a wonderful romantic getaway in the beautiful county of Rutland. The pub we stayed at was situated in a charming village just off the main road, making it easy to explore the area. The service at the pub was friendly and efficient, and we didn't have to wait long for our delicious meals. The food was outstanding, with a variety of options to choose from. We especially enjoyed the chicken and bacon pie and the waffles with ice cream. The prices were reasonable, and we felt like we got great value for our money. The pub had a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind.
There were some negative aspects of our stay. The downstairs bar and dining area had a musty smell, which was off-putting.
